CHINESE STONES PROJECT
Philosophy
Collecting stones is a tradition in China for thousands of years. Value is attributed to stones formed by nature and they are regarded as a piece of art, typically displayed on an elegantly carved wooden support specifically crafted for a given stone. These “philosopher’s stones” carry a spiritual meaning and represent transformational processes in nature.

Working on bronze pieces at the foundry
Bronze root
Making the mold for the copy of one of the stones in polyesther. The “polyesther stone” holds fragments of the largest stone that broke off sometime in its existence.
Placement
At current the work is being placed in and outside an office space in the Ardennes, Belgium
